Amazon Black Friday deals: What to expect in 2020

Amazon’s Black Friday sale began last Friday with Black Friday Deals Week. To help you find the best Amazon Black Friday deals as they arrive, we’ll update this page with the latest daily discounts. This week we’ll see more deals every day, including deep, deep discounts on Amazon Echo devices.

When does Amazon Black Friday 2020 begin?

You can start shopping Amazon’s Black Friday deals right now, but the bulk of the best deals haven’t arrived yet. Officially, Black Friday doesn’t actually happen until the Friday after Thanksgiving — which is November 27 this year. Now that Amazon’s Black Friday Deals Week has started, we expect the number of deals to increase daily.

Best Amazon Black Friday deals to shop today

The most difficult part of huge online sales events is sorting the good deals from the bad ones. The best deals on Amazon aren’t always highlighted in the main sale, so we scan a wide range of topics to find top discounts sitewide. From Apple tech to home appliances, these are the best early Amazon Black Friday deals to shop today:

          • All-new Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote$28, was $40
          • Roomba 614 Robot Vacuum$199 was $250
          • Furbo Dog Camera$199, was $249
          • Ninja DT201 Foodi 10-in-1 XL Pro Air Fry Digital Countertop Convection Toaster Oven$240, was $280
          • Instant Pot Duo 6 Quart$79, was $100
          • Bose Solo 5 TV Soundbar Sound System$149,? was $199
          • Philips Norelco Electric Shaver$54, was $80
          • TCL 40-inch Smart Roku TV$180, was $300

What Amazon Black Friday deals should we expect in November?

While we may not know everything Amazon will have up its sleeve for Black Friday 2020, there’s a pretty good chance it will be similar to what we saw on Prime Day, but with a few more sales on toys. Some of the standouts from that sale were numerous iPad deals, loads of TV deals, and a smattering of discounts on MacBooks. There were also the standard Kindle deals and Amazon Echo deals offering smart speakers at rock-bottom prices.

You can also expect loads of Black Friday kitchen deals. Almost every year we see more and more Instant Pot deals and cheap Air fryers go on sale than ever before. Along these same lines, you’ll want to look for deals on coffee makers and robot vacuums as Amazon is known for steep price cuts on these.

Surprisingly, Amazon has also become an excellent source of fashion sales and discounts on outdoor gear. So if you’re looking for a new dress shirt or a cheap backpack, the retailer has you covered.

What you likely won’t see, unfortunately, are the best laptop deals and computer monitor sales of the year. Many of the items that were in high demand when the pandemic started no longer have older stock to sell at low prices. While you may see a few of these discounts here or there, they will be as few and far between as Nintendo Switch deals?this year.

Will Amazon have Cyber Monday deals this year?

Typically, Amazon has an enormous Cyber Monday sale. In previous years, the online retailer has hosted a long stretch of deals after Black Friday called Cyber Deals Week. We don’t know for sure if Amazon will be participating in the shopping event this year, but if they do, you can expect many of the same deals as from its previous two sales.

Will Amazon Black Friday be better than Prime Day?

It’s highly likely that Amazon’s Prime Day and Black Friday sales will be very similar. We already see the same deep discounts on Alexa-enabled devices, Kindles, and Fire TVs that it offers in every shopping event alongside many eerily similar deals on kitchen gadgets.

Where Amazon Black Friday may differ from Prime Day is in the competition. While there were quite a few other retailers participating in the Prime Day fun this year, not everyone did. That means that if other sellers are offering better price cuts than Amazon, it’s highly likely Amazon will automatically match the lowest price.

When to shop Amazon Black Friday deals

More people than ever before will be looking for gifts and for must-have items for themselves this Black Friday. Not only are there millions of more online shoppers, but also people are buying products to use at home since travel has diminished significantly. Retailers and their fulfillment networks are facing increased demand. In order to have the best selection and the greatest chance of getting your shipment on time, your best strategy is to shop for Amazon Black Friday deals earlier rather than later.

It helps that Amazon Black Friday deals are already available. The greatest selection of deals will be available November 27, but Black Friday Deals Week has begun, so there’s no compelling reason to wait when you see an Amazon Black Friday deal on a product on your list.

Will other retailers have better Black Friday sales?

Almost every online retailer, with the exception of Home Depot, will have a Black Friday sale in 2020. While we don’t yet know if discounts from Walmart, Best Buy, and Target will out-pace Amazon deals in 2020, we do know that these sales began earlier. Here are the start times for each event:

Amazon Black Friday: Amazon has officially started Black Friday Deals Week, so watch for more excellent bargains to roll out every day.

Best Buy Black Friday: The Best Buy Black Friday ad sale is also going on right now. You can sign up for free to get automatic Black Friday price matching on select items through November 28.

Target Black Friday: The Target sale has begun, with all Black Friday deals online now.

Walmart Black Friday: The Walmart sale has been ongoing since early in the month. All Walmart online Black Friday deals will be available as of 7 P.M. ET, November 25.
